Progress so far

These are a few of the drawings I have done so far. As you can see I have tried not to give the characters specific identities but only features to show one is a girl and the other a boy. Ive done this by differing their body shapes. For example, the image of with the hands, I have made it so one hand is slimmer with slightly longer nails being the womans hand, whereas the other is larger with rounded fingers being the mans hand.

Within the pictures I have also tried to add in camera angles. Due to my filming having limited angles i.e. Birds eye view, I wanted the drawings to look like they have been done at different angles. For example, the first image is a mid shot so I have to draw some background with only part of the characters in. I have also places the card with the heart in the middle of the drawing as this is the main focus of the shot. Secondly, the image of the hands is an extreme close up as the couple have just got engaged and I want the audience to see the ring.

Flip book ideas

I have come up with a few ideas for my flip book animation but have decided my final piece will but a short love story. I feel this will fit with my chosen song as the lyrics "I'll have you" could be linked to a couple and their love story. I'd like it to start off with a girl and boy who grow up together and then go on to attend the same school, have the same friends, fall in love and finally get married and have their own little family. Throughout the flip book animation im aiming to cut to an actor singing and performing the song ao to add a set of different camer angles and techniques and with a flip book animation I am quite limited.
With my drawings, i don't want my characters to have any distinct features so they are generic and could be anyone. This will allow my audience find more in common with the character due to there not being a specific identity. For example, i intend to not use any colours but just have the grey/black outline of the pencil so not to show race or culture.
